So, I go back to work today. This is sort of exciting. Thanks to my roommates being nocturnal and banging around at god-awful hours and my body being made of fail when it comes to sleep, I've been up since 0600 and I don't have to be at work until 0730.

On the upside, something I've been dreading turned out to be something I'm not going to have to do, so yeah! \o/

Came up from the basement Sunday night after 4 days in the hole of isolation. Far from all well I felt a good deal better and figure at the very least I was past contagious.

Oh so confident I completely was shocked when Doc said "Still over 100 fever... back to the hole for 48 more hrs!" at my follow appt today. SHIT!!

This flu holds on like a bitch :o(

Today's Smile: Caroline gave me a copy of The Castle of Dr Brain. It was one of my favourite computer games about a billion years ago. (Yes, I sought out educational games for fun, I was a geek-child.) I used to play it three times in a row (on easy, medium and hard) in a sitting. Sometimes more than three. It was such fun to run through it again! Now I want The Island of Dr Brain! I used to play them back to back a lot too.

and miss the wankage over things like kinkfreezone, which has already been self-deleted. Probably saved me a few blood-pressure surges, though!

This wasn't a "bad" weekend, really, but it was one of those that led to some wallowing. I spent all my free time Saturday taking down Halloween and doing laundry, before a quick library-and-chore-blitz, and then Sunday was more laundry, exercise (running), and 3 hours of yardwork that went right past sundown and into the eyestrain zone. The kids helped a little on Sunday (Lauren borrowed 2-hours-of-yardwork's worth of money, and Christopher stuck around for a slow hour), but the feeling of never making any headway on anything is so frustrating.

I'm going back in to work tomorrow. My supervisor just called because he couldn't figure out how to do my time card last week since I used a combination of vacation and personal time.
